The journey begins / Le commencement

Audrey left Paris on Tuesday 2nd of November around 11am after some tough goodbyes... She flew with Singapore Airlines on board of the new A380 (although everybody was envious of her to fly with that new fancy plane, she did not really give a flying f**k and therefore, no picture available). It took her about 12 hours to get to Singapore.


Mardi 2 Novembre, 11h00, Audrey quitte Paris après de difficiles au revoir... Elle a volé à bord du nouveau A380 de Singapour Airlines (bien que tout le monde soit excité par le fait qu'elle vole dans ce nouveau joujou de l'aéronautique, elle, ça ne l'envoyait pas en l'air du tout, alors ne demandez pas, y'a pas de photo!). Après seulement 12 heures de vol, elle arrive à Singapour.


In the meantime, Romain was supposed to leave Mauritius on the same day later in the day. Unfortunately, the plane, ready to take off, had some technical issues and had to go back to the boarding gate for almost 2 1/2 hours and then took off. Due to the lateness of the flight, he missed his connection in Kuala Lumpur and the next flight to Sydney was not due to take off for another 10 hours. Therefore, with the flight duration and the jetlags, he could not make it to Sydney before Thursday morning.


Pendant ce temps, (à Santa Cruz...) Romain devait quitter l'île Maurice un peu plus tard le même jour. Hélas, l'avion, près à décoller, a eu un problème technique qui le renvoya à la porte d'embarcation pour à peu près 2 heures et demi avant de pouvoir enfin décoller. A cause de ce délai, il rata sa correspondance et dû attendre le prochain vol pour Sydney pendant 10 heures à Kuala Lumpur. Le décalage horaire et la durée du vol ne lui permettront pas d'arriver avant Jeudi matin à Sydney.


Audrey, with no idea of what was going on with Romain's plane, landed in Singapore, in one of the most amazing airport she has seen so far. She turned on her phone and found out that Romain was not going to arrive 20 minutes before her, but about 14 hours later... She just stayed at the airport for 2 hours and then took her flight, on time, to Sydney :)


Audrey, n'ayant pas la moindre idée de ce qui se passait dans l'autre vol, attérit sereine à Singapour, dans l'un des aéroports les plus impressionnants qu'elle a pu voir. C'est juste en allumant son téléphone qu'elle apprit les méandres du vol de Romain et que celui-ci n'arriverait pas 20 minutes avant elle, mais 14 heures après... Après 2 heures à l'aéroport, elle s'envola vers Sydney.

Meanwhile, in Kuala Lumpur, in THE most amazing airport EVER! (well, as per Romain's point of view, just because there is a jungle with monkeys in the middle of it), Romain spent 10 hours in a fabulous 5 stars hotel, all paid for by the airline company for the inconvenience. He finally took off and arrived safely in Sydney on Thursday morning and was reunited with his other half, at last! :)

A Kuala Lumpur, dans l'aéroport LE plus impressionnant du MONDE! (enfaing (avec l'accent Toulousaing car c'est le point de vue de Romain) juste par le fait qu'il y ait une jungle avec des singes au milieu de celui-ci) Romain passa 10 heures dans un fabuleux hôtel 5 étoiles entièrement payé par la compagnie aérienne à cause du désagréement causé. Finalement il décolla et arriva sain et sauf à Sydney jeudi matin et retrouva sa belle et tendre, enfin! :)
